Join us for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the official launch of Jazz Forward Dayton, a new nonprofit organization dedicated to sustaining and advancing jazz through performance, education, and community connection.
What to expect
The evening begins with an exciting performance by the University of Dayton Jazz Ensemble lead by Dr. Willie L. Morris, III, joined by internationally acclaimed guest trumpeter Ashlin Parker. Together, they'll kick off Jazz Forward Dayton's inaugural celebration with an unforgettable set of big band jazz.
The celebration continues with a special performance featuring guest artist Ashlin Parker, accompanied by an outstanding trio:
- Keigo Hirakawa – Piano
- George DeLancey – Bass
- Reggie Jackson – Drums
